facWEEKLY November 15

We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.

Worship This Sunday

Desperation is often seen as something to avoid—a state of deep despair that can lead to rash or extreme actions. It's a feeling we instinctively try to escape because no one wants to be desperate. But for those who follow Christ, there’s a surprising truth: it’s in moments of desperation that God often reveals Himself most clearly.

This week, we ask a simple but profound question: Are you desperate for God?

Join us this Sunday as we dive into Mark 5:24-34 and discover how Jesus meets us in our deepest needs and fulfills our deepest longings.

Operation Christmas Child

This Sunday, November 17th, is the last day to return shoeboxes. Please bring them to the Operation Christmas Child table in the lobby. If you prefer to shop online, you can go to https://sampur.se/48hahje to build a box online. Build a Shoebox Online will be available until December 26, 2024.  A $10 donation is requested for each box to help defray international processing and shipping expenses. If you want to follow your box, the $10 fee can be made via a donation online here: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/ways-to-give/.  Checks should be payable to “Samaritan’s Purse.”

Collecting Hearing Aids for the Dominican Republic

We have been collecting eyeglasses for many years to take to the Dominican Republic as part of our ministry with Meeting God in Missions. We are now asking for hearing aids, in any condition, to be donated as well.

Both of these items can be placed in collection boxes found at The Hub, throughout the year.

Prayer for International Workers

Remember Nhu is a ministry committed to ending child sex slavery through prevention, which is the most effective way to keep children safe and end this evil practice. Individuals and families at FAC sponsor girls and boys in Kenya, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and Tanzania.

You can join us in becoming a difference maker by contacting Cindy Shuffield at cshuffield@facerie.org. You can learn more about Remember Nhu by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” near The Hub.

Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?

"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
