facADULT General Ministries
PLANTED
Hey, Gen-X and Millennials! Do you wonder how to make friends at our age (25-55)? Do you long for stronger relationships in the church? Do you want to reach your neighbors or get involved in community ministry? Do you want to live life together? Do you want to get connected to others at First Alliance Church? Let’s start by reading the Bible together and see where God leads us! Join us on Sunday mornings in the gym during the 9:30am service to explore His word together, discuss questions we have, learn how to be planted in His truths, and drink delicious coffee (of course). We welcome your children of any age. We don’t have childcare at the moment, but we’re praying for it in the future!
If you have questions, contact Rachel Myers @ rmyers@facerie.org
facADULT Care Ministries
DIVORCE CARE
First Alliance Church sponsors unique and vital support programs specifically designed for an ever-growing segment of our population that is often overlooked. These programs are nationally renowned, biblically based, non-denominational, and have helped over a million people worldwide. Click here to learn more.
PURE DESIRE GROUPS
Pure Desire Ministries knows you want to be sexually healthy. In order to do this, you need healing from the effects of unwanted sexual behavior and betrayal trauma. The problem is you are stuck in a pattern which makes you feel powerless. At First Alliance Church, we offer groups and courses throughout the year to help. Whether you are a man or woman, our Conquer and Sexual Integrity classes rotate to help you learn more and get started on a healing journey. Specifically for men, our 7 Pillars group is a long-term group that goes through Pure Desire’s 7 Pillars of Freedom curriculum. We meet weekly and grow in our transparency and vulnerability as we support other men on our healing journey. If you need any information or have questions, contact Chenny Langness at cnlangness@gmail.com.
facMEN
Our men’s ministry is here to equip and encourage you to love God and others well by living a life of honor, truth, and grace. Through men’s Bible study, mentoring, and authentic community with others, the men of First Alliance Church are challenged to grow in relationship with Christ and pursue godly manhood. Whether in Bible studies, Christian men’s retreats, or other opportunities for connection and growth, you’ll connect with Christian men across the Erie area and uncover God’s purpose over your life and be empowered to shape your home, workplace, and community as a follower of Jesus. Check out these resources to strengthen your faith, and if you need anything, please contact Wes Palmer at wbpalmer8@gmail.com
BIBLE STUDIES
Through classes, the men of FAC gather to go deep into God’s Word as we seek to know him, love him, and lead others to him. Bible studies typically meet on Saturday mornings from January–May and September–November.
RETREAT
Each year, men across FAC experience a Christian men’s retreat—a weekend full of camaraderie, (mostly) friendly competition, and opportunities to worship God in community with our brothers—at Miracle Mountain Ranch.
BREAKFASTS
Men’s Breakfast is an opportunity for men to connect with one another and build friendships. Men shouldn’t do life alone! So come out, bring a friend, and get connected! The men here at FAC encourage and strengthen one another, and the breakfasts are a healthy place of connection and sharing.
Stay tuned for our 2025 dates!
BASKETBALL
Guys, lace up your sneakers, buy some extra Bengay, and join us as we hit the "hardwood" for basketball action! We will have open gym Tuesday nights (6:00–8:00pm) for guys interested in playing pickup games. Basketball typically runs January–April and September–October.
FANTASY FOOTBALL
It's game time! Join the league and bring your projections, stats, cheat sheets, and sleepers to make your picks! And if it’s your first time and you just want to try it out for fun, come on out! You don’t have to be a seasoned veteran. facMEN host a LIVE draft party in August and a post-season pizza party in January. Fantasy Football is open to men, women, and youth.

facWOMEN
The facWOMEN ministry provides opportunities to strengthen your relationship with Jesus through Bible studies, small groups, and annual events for women. Here are some of the ways to connect right now:
THE MomCo
Dates: 2nd and 4th Thursdays, September 2024–May 2025
Time: 9:30am
Place: in room E215
Cost: $37 MomCo membership fee and $50 FAC fee
READY TO STOP MOMMING ALONE? You’re invited! We’re convinced that moms are some of the most powerful creatures on the planet. What is the word people use to define powerful things? It is ‘the mother’... the mother of all storms, the mother of all traffic, the mother lode. To be a mother is to be a force of nature, but that doesn’t mean it should be done alone. We saved you a seat.
Childcare is provided.
Please register by using both links below. For the MomCo membership fee use FAC group code: S54X
facWOMEN’s Evening Bible Study
Date: Mondays, beginning September 16
Time: 6–8pm

This fall we are offering an evening women’s Bible Study led by Elaine Ransil. This is open to women of all walks of life in all stages of their faith. We are excited for this new opportunity to connect and gather in community! We will be walking through a Bible study together titled “The Story of Reality” by Greg Koukl. “If you are already a Christian, do you know and understand the biblical story? And for those still seeking answers to the questions of life, this is an invitation to hear a story that explains the world in a way nothing else will. This story can change your life forever.”

WOMEN2WOMEN STUDY
Date: Tuesdays, beginning September 10
Time: 9:30–11:30am
Place: in room B106
Cost: $10 for study guide
We will begin our fall study for Women 2 Women on September 10. We look forward to our new study, “Saints and Scoundrels in the Story of Jesus” by Nancy Guthrie. The story of Jesus in the gospels includes people who claimed to be saints but proved to be scoundrels, as well as scoundrels who were transformed into saints. This study not only offers fresh insights into familiar Bible characters, but challenges us to apply these lessons to our own lives.
