As Christ-followers, Jesus calls us to make a public declaration of our spiritual rebirth through baptism—a visible testimony that we have been given new life in Him. Through this act, we identify with His death, burial, and resurrection, declaring that our old life has passed away and we now walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3–4). Jesus Himself commanded this step of obedience, saying, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…” (Matthew 28:19), showing that baptism is both a response of faith and a proclamation of allegiance to Him.
