facWEEKLY November 22

We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.

Worship This Sunday

Glory & Dominion: The Church in Laodicea | Revelation 3:14–22

Join us this week as we conclude our series in Revelation, focused on the 7 letters to the 7 churches. We will see how, in a world filled with evil, evil intentions, and a growing resistance to Jesus Christ and the things of Christ’s kingdom, we can have assurances of Christ’s victory—His glory and dominion (Revelation 1:6). Yet, at the forefront of this epic prophecy, is a challenge to the churches of that day and in the ages to come. To those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, let us be alert to the Spirit of God in our hearts and in our churches.

2024 Advent Devotional

As the Christmas season quickly approaches, we’re excited to share this new Advent devotional with you! Written by members of The Alliance Writers Collective, this year’s guide focuses on the theme Joy for All People.

“I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10b–11.

The devotional covers the four traditional Advent themes, as well as a special devotional for Christmas Eve.

Week 1: The Candle of Hope
Week 2: The Candle of Peace
Week 3: The Candle of Joy
Week 4: The Candle of Love
Christmas Eve: The Candle of Christ

You can find the Advent Devotional at this link: https://www.facerie.org/s/Advent-Devotional.pdf

Paper copies will be available at The Hub beginning Sunday, November 24.

Prayer for International Workers

Rob and Barbara Quiring are international workers supported by FAC. They served for many years in Ecuador and are now located in Nebraska. Thank you for your prayers and support for us in the English conversation ministry, in preparation for leading our Bible Study Fellowship groups, for our wisdom with our family issues, and for faithfulness in sharing God’s good news with others. Following the Spirit’s leading in opportunities to share Jesus
with neighbors and others in our daily lives is our desire.

You can learn more about them by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” near The Hub and you can partner with Rob & Barb in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.

Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?

"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
