facWEEKLY September 6
We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.
Worship This Sunday
Living the Good Life: The Jesus Way | Week 10 | Matthew 7:13-14
Join us this Sunday as we jump back into our summer series on the Sermon on the Mount and continue to discover the good life that God has for us to live. We will be in Matthew 7:13-14.
Coffee & Snacks
Have no fear, the coffee and snacks did not disappear! Come a little early on Sunday and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa and a yummy snack...in the gym! That's right, you can find these ever-popular refreshments in the gym, along with plenty of seating so you can sit and chat with your family and friends. Be sure to also check out the amazing 125th Anniversary Celebration display in the lobby!

Seven Pillars of Freedom
Date: Mondays, September 9–May 15
Time: 7–8:30pm
Place: in room F203
Cost: $80 (includes Seven Pillars Workbook, Journal, and the Pure Desire book)
Many men who struggle with sexual brokenness try to go it alone. They believe the lie that sexual brokenness is about sex; when really, it’s about medicating the pain in their lives. Despite their losses—marriage, ministry, relationships, and more—they continue to return to unwanted sexual behaviors. But the truth is, we cannot fix a problem if we don’t know what’s causing it. Through the Seven Pillars of Freedom you’ll start to understand your whole story and identify what contributes to your sexual brokenness. You will begin your recovery from unwanted sexual behavior with a trusted group of men on the same journey. Through Seven Pillar’s guided lessons and a trusted community, you will develop the tools necessary to break free, heal your relationship, and take back your life.
Registration is $80 and includes the Seven Pillars Workbook, Journal, and the Pure Desire book. If you have any questions, or want to learn more, reach out to Chenny Langness at cnlangness@gmail.com.
Sexual Integrity 101
Date: Thursdays, September 9–October 31
Time: 7–8:30pm
Place: in room F203
Cost: Registration is free, but the optional workbook is $20
We all desire sexual integrity, whether it’s for ourselves or for others. But we struggle with knowing where to start. Sexual Integrity 101 is a great way to get started, whether you struggle with sexual integrity or know someone who does. This 8-part series is designed for men, women, parents, and more. It is for anyone who wants to find freedom from the effects of unwanted sexual behavior and/or betrayal, or anyone who wants to better understand the struggles that others may be going through. This course will show how shame and grace affect the healing process, give an understanding of addiction and betrayal trauma, and get you started on the path to sexual health.
Registration is open-ended (meaning you can join at any time) and free, but the companion workbook is $20. If you have any questions or want to learn more, reach out to Chenny Langness at cnlangness@gmail.com.
MomCo
Dates: 2nd and 4th Thursdays, September 2024–May 2025
Time: 9:30am
Place: in room E215
Cost: $37 MomCo membership fee and $50 FAC fee
READY TO STOP MOMMING ALONE? You’re invited! We’re convinced that moms are some of the most powerful creatures on the planet. What is the word people use to define powerful things? It is ‘the mother’... the mother of all storms, the mother of all traffic, the mother lode. To be a mother is to be a force of nature, but that doesn’t mean it should be done alone. We saved you a seat.
Childcare is provided.
Please register by using both links below. For the MomCo membership fee use FAC group code: S54X
Women 2 Women Bible Study
Date: Tuesdays, beginning September 10
Time: 9:30–11:30am
Place: in room B106
Cost: $10 for study guide
We will begin our fall study for Women 2 Women on September 10. We look forward to our new study, “Saints and Scoundrels in the Story of Jesus” by Nancy Guthrie. The story of Jesus in the gospels includes people who claimed to be saints but proved to be scoundrels, as well as scoundrels who were transformed into saints. This study not only offers fresh insights into familiar Bible characters, but challenges us to apply these lessons to our own lives.

Seniors’ Movie & Pizza Night
Date: Friday, September 13
Time: 6–9pm
Place: in the Youth Center
Cost: $5 per person
Come for a fun evening of food, fellowship, and entertainment. Pizza and beverages will be served for dinner followed by a movie. And of course, there will be popcorn!
We will be watching The Most Reluctant Convert, in which an elder C.S. Lewis looks back on his remarkable journey from hard-boiled atheist to the most renowned Christian writer of the past century. This engaging biopic follows the creator of The Chronicles of Narnia from the tragic death of his mother when he was just nine years old, through his strained relationship with his father, to the nightmare of the trenches of World War I, to Oxford University, where friends like J.R.R. Tolkien challenge his unbelief.
This is an outreach so bring your friends!
Sign up at the table in the lobby or by clicking the button below to register. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday, September 10th.

Date: Mondays, beginning September 16
Time: 6–8pm
Place: in room E215
Cost: $10 for study guide
This fall we are offering an evening women’s Bible Study led by Elaine Ransil. This is open to women of all walks of life in all stages of their faith. We are excited for this new opportunity to connect and gather in community! We will be walking through a Bible study together titled “The Story of Reality” by Greg Koukl. “If you are already a Christian, do you know and understand the biblical story? And for those still seeking answers to the questions of life, this is an invitation to hear a story that explains the world in a way nothing else will. This story can change your life forever.”

Fall Fest Volunteers!
Date: Saturday, September 28
Time: 10am-5pm
Place: in the church parking lot
We're bringing back Fall Fest, and we're so excited! We will need a lot of helping hands to pull this off. The more volunteers we have, the lighter the load will be for each of us, and we know the great things we’ve been able to do in the past when our amazing church family gets together.
So here’s what’s happening that day and what we’ll need.
Of course we’ll need volunteers to help us set up and tear down, but we’ll also be hosting activities and games, some of them running all day and others at certain times during the afternoon. We have planned activities for kids and adults alike, like a hay ride, a pie eating contest, inflatables, pumpkin launching, a dunk tank, and more.
The actual event will be noon-4pm, but we'll need help starting at 10am until 5pm. If you come at 9:30am, we'll give you breakfast! Sign up to help at the table in the lobby or click on the button below.
Prayer for International Workers
David and Brenda Aderholdt are international workers supported by FAC. They serve the Macedonian community.
This year’s Ana Conference (for women in Macedonia) is October 11-13. Our theme is: Stand up, Shine and Make a Difference! Please join us in prayer as we get ready. I am so thankful and happy that, God willing, I will be in Macedonia, September 3 - October 21!
You can learn more about them by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” near The Hub and you can partner with David and Brenda in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.
Meet FAC's Newest Staff Members
We are pleased to welcome some new faces to our staff! Regena "Gena" Kirk is the new Director of facPRESCHOOL. Gena attended Edinboro University, where she earned a BA in Music Education. She has experience teaching and substitute teaching in public schools, as well as teaching piano lessons and even running her own piano studio. In addition to serving as the Director of facPRESCHOOL, Gena will be teaching the “Little Learners” preschool class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Another new face you'll be seeing more of on Sunday mornings is Aiden Miles. Aiden joined the FAC staff earlier this summer as a part-time custodian and has since added the role of Teacher's Aide with facPRESCHOOL to his job responsibilities.
Gena and Aiden will be joined by returning Pre-K teacher, Julie Meyer, and our new M, W, F teacher, Kassi Langness, to round out our amazing facPRESCHOOL team this year!
