Sr Adult Bible Class (Ages 55 and better!)
Date: Sundays
Time: 11:00 am–noon
Place: in the Fireside Room
Join the 55 and better crowd as Pastor Scott takes us through an in-depth study of the book of Revelation! This book unlocks the mystery of history and proves that God is in control. Revelation brings sense to our suffering. You've probably heard that God will wipe every tear from our eyes. That verse is found in Revelation. And we are reminded in Revelation that Jesus Christ is the centerpiece of all creation. This is a book that brings comfort, not a book that brings a fear of the future.
Cultural IQ
Date: Monday, July 15
Time: 7-9pm
Place: in room B106
Join us at our third Cultural IQ event, where you'll learn more about Hinduism and Sikhism and how to build culturally relevant bridges for spiritual conversation. Our speakers, Rick and Julie, heard the call from God in their late 50s when they were finishing their secular jobs. They have been non-resident missionaries to Punjab, India, since 2015, managing a church planting multiplication strategy with their Indian partner. They are seeing God at work through an explosion of new churches in the region!
Join us for dessert and an enlightening evening as we increase our Cultural IQ!

Join us for the FAC Family Picnic on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 4:00–7:00pm rain or shine for Food, Fellowship, Fun & Outdoor Games in our church parking lot. There is no cost to attend, and this will be a great opportunity to meet and re-connect with the members of our church family as we enjoy summertime in Erie. So, for our members and regular attenders - whether you've been a part of our family for many years or are new to our crew - we hope to see you there! We'll have a picnic dinner and fun for all ages.
Check out our table in the church lobby, register below, or contact the church office to sign up to attend or to help with the event. Registration in advance of the event is required so that we can plan for how many people will be attending.
Believer's Baptism
Date: Sunday, August 11
Time: 9:30 & 11am
Place: in the worship center
In response to so many within our congregation having made the decision to be baptized, we're already planning our next baptism service! If you've made the decision to follow Christ but have never been baptized, what's holding you back? At FAC, we celebrate these things together as a family, and we're planning a baptism service for Sunday, August 11 during both morning services. Baptism classes are a prerequisite for this, and these two classes will be held during the 4th and 5th week of July.
If you're interested, you can register below, or contact Pastor Scott at sshuffield@facerie.org.
Prayer for International Workers
Chris and Liz are international workers supported by FAC. They serve in N. Africa. They have about a week and a half before they travel (meetings, vacation, etc.). Pray for paperwork to go through with the bank and that the office and their plans would be in order.
Pray that they will meet plenty of Chay people and that they find good means of interacting with people and proclaiming the Word to them.
You can learn more about them by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” near The Hub and you can partner with Chris and Liz in ministry by giving to the FAC Missions Fund.
Sunday Footnotes:
A gentle reminder to our Sunday family: if the service has already started, please refrain from using the center aisle to enter or leave the worship center, especially during the sermon time. Our camera operator needs a clear view of the pulpit.
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
