Bob & Cheryl Fugate
GUADALAJARA, MEXICO | PROJECT SOUTHPOINTE
After 25 years church planting in Chile, Bob and Cheryl moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2014 to ignite a church planting effort.
Bob is the lead missionary in Project Southpointe, which will be a multisite church plant, with campuses around Guadalajara and by the end of 2025 at least five church plants in the five surrounding states. They want to leave them with a church with national leaders that can continue reaching their city for Jesus.
Cheryl assists in the church planting, which has two campuses and will soon start a third campus. Cheryl is director of Circle of Hope, which ministers to women and children who have been abandoned, abused, or left in extreme poverty. Circle of Hope has workshops that lead to small businesses, giving women dignity, skills and a way to advance in society—during these workshops Jesus is presented as our HOPE even in hard times. The goal is to have a Circle of Hope with each new church campus.
Bob and Cheryl have four children and 11 grandchildren.
