facWEEKLY December 29
We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.
CHURCH OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED DEC 25–JAN 1
Worship This Sunday
Renewing Relationships | Matthew 18:15–19
It’s the last Sunday of 2023 and (it’ll be) the last day of 2023. You might be putting together a list of things you want to accomplish for the new year, or maybe you're still trying to finish the last few for 2023—or maybe it wasn’t a goal, but rather you’ve been longing to find peace within a relationship or to renew a friendship with a distant friend.
In Matthew 18:15-19, Jesus talks about one thing that Christ-followers may not always enjoy talking about, and that is CONFLICT, and it often arises in relationships! As we end 2023 and enter into 2024, we may have relationships that need to be renewed by Jesus. Join us as we come together in fellowship and learn from God’s Word of what it means to engage in RENEWING RELATIONSHIPS!
Year-end Giving Essential Information
The church offices will be closed the entire period from December 25, 2023 through January 1, 2024.
Any year-end giving for FAC or the C&MA must be received or clearly postmarked by December 31, 2023 to be credited to the 2023 charitable contributions. Contributions will be received on Sunday, December 24 and December 31, 2023.
facSENIORS Bible Class
Date: starting January 7
Time: 11am–noon
Place: Fireside Room
Join the 55 and better crowd as Pastor Scott takes us through an in-depth study of the book of Revelation! This book unlocks the mystery of history and proves that God is in control. Revelation brings sense to our suffering.
You've probably heard that God will wipe every tear from our eyes. That verse is found in Revelation. And we are reminded in Revelation that Jesus Christ is the centerpiece of all creation. This is a book that brings comfort, not a book that brings a fear of the future.
The MomCo
Date: January 11 (2nd and 4th Thursdays each month)
Time: 9:30–11:30am
Place: Youth Center (F200)

The MomCo meetings may include guest speakers, demonstrations, and videos to help you navigate this journey. There will also be other moms who are on the same journey as you and understand the joys (and frustrations!) that it brings. These moms will be there to support you and help guide you.
Childcare is provided for ages 6 months–Pre-K. For moms interested in registering, visit the table in the lobby or our web page, www.facerie.org/themomco. If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to contact Amy Watt at awatt7607@gmail.com or 814-602-1787.

Bible Reading Plans for the New Year
Reading the Bible on a regular and consistent basis has several benefits. First, the Bible shows us God’s character and provides us God’s revelation of himself to his people. In each section of the Bible, we see God’s holy, unchanging, faithful, gracious and loving character.
Second, in 2 Timothy 3:16–17 it says that the Bible is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness.” The next verse goes on to say that this leads to the completeness and equipping “for every good work.”
Third, regularly reading God’s word reorients our thinking so we can grow in maturity. To help you, we have provided two different plans: a three-year plan to read through the whole Bible and a one-year plan for the New Testament, both for weekdays only. Take the challenge! facerie.org/resources
Prayer Request for International Workers
Holly Woodworth is working in Miami with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Pray for Holly’s involvement in the following events: beach evangelism, ESL program, and robotics program every Wednesday.
You can partner with Holly in ministry by giving to FAC Missions Fund.
Sunday Footnotes:
A gentle reminder to our Sunday family: if the service has already started, please refrain from using the center aisle to enter or leave the worship center, especially during the sermon time. Our camera operator needs a clear view of the pulpit.
Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
Finance Information
Father, as we lay before you our financial offering, we give you all that we are and everything that you have entrusted to us. Bless these gifts for the sake of your kingdom and glory.
