facWEEKLY May 31

We hope you've had a good week, FAC Family! Here are just some of the great things happening in the coming weeks.

Worship This Sunday

Join us this week as we hear from the President of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Ukraine, Rev. Sergei Gutz. Sergei and his wife, Lilya, will be our guests as we hear about what God has been doing in Ukraine. Rev. Steve Volstad will be with us, serving as our translator.

Welcome Shower for Isaiah & Abbie

In case you missed the announcement, FAC has hired a new Director of Worship & Production, Mr. Isaiah Ream! Isaiah and his new bride, Abbie, will be joining us soon! We would love to welcome Isaiah and Abbie to FAC and to Erie by showering them with gifts of love, and we invite you, the congregation, to be a part of that! Here are a few suggestions on how you can participate if you choose to do so:

*Gift cards to area restaurants, grocery stores, and other stores like Walmart, Target, and Amazon.
*Everyday household items such as paper plates, napkins, paper towels, tissues, garbage bags, etc.
*A greeting card of encouragement, welcoming them to FAC and Erie
*We kindly ask that you do not donate food items due to food sensitivity reasons.

This Sunday is the final day to drop off your gifts at the table in the lobby.

Seniors' Movie & Pizza Night

Date: Friday, June 14
Time: 6:00–9:00pm
Place: in the Youth Center Cost: $5 per person

Come for a fun evening of food, fellowship, and entertainment. Pizza and beverages will be served for dinner followed by a movie. And of course, there will be popcorn! We will be watching Play the Flute. No, this is not an instructional video :) Faced with an indifferent youth group, a new youth pastor tries to motivate his students to read God's Word and get serious about their faith. This is an outreach as well as a challenge to Christ-followers, so bring your friends!

Sign up at the table in the lobby or by clicking the button below to register.

facMEN's Breakfast

Believer's Baptism

Date: Sunday, July 7
Time: 9:30 & 11am
Place: in the worship center

If you've made the decision to follow Christ but have never been baptized, what's holding you back? At FAC, we celebrate these things together as a family, and we're planning a baptism service for Sunday, July 7th during both morning services. Baptism classes are a prerequisite for this, and these two classes will be held during the 1st and 2nd week of June.

If you're interested, you can register below or online at facerie.org or contact Pastor Scott at sshuffield@facerie.org.

This Sunday, June 2nd, is the last day to register.

FAC Family Picnic

SAVE THE DATE! Join us for the FAC Family Picnic on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 4–7pm rain or shine, for Food, Fellowship, Fun & Outdoor Games in our church parking lot. There is no cost to attend, and this will be a great opportunity to meet and re-connect with the members of our church family as we enjoy summertime in Erie. So, for our members and regular attenders - whether you've been a part of our family for many years or are new to our crew - we hope to see you there! We'll have a picnic dinner and fun for all.

Registration coming soon.

The Collingsworth Family Classics and Hymns Fall Tour 2024

Place: in the worship center

The Collingsworth Family is coming to FAC this fall! They are a Southern Gospel/Inspirational group started by Phil and Kim Collingsworth and feature their family as the group.

Tickets can be purchased by clicking on the button below. Be sure to use discount code "CFAM" for $5 off each ticket purchased.

Tickets will NOT be sold through the church office. If you need assistance purchasing your tickets online, please stop by The Hub on Sunday mornings.

Prayer for International Workers

Bob and Cheryl Fugate are international workers supported by FAC. The annual general council meeting of the national Alliance took place on May 27-30. It was an election year for a new president of the national church. Pray for peace and order and that God will reign supreme over the meetings and hearts.

You can learn more about them by picking up a copy of our “Prayer Guide for World Missions” near The Hub and you can partner with Bob and Cheryl in ministry by giving to the Great Commission Fund.

Sunday Footnotes:

A gentle reminder to our Sunday family: if the service has already started, please refrain from using the center aisle to enter or leave the worship center, especially during the sermon time. Our camera operator needs a clear view of the pulpit.

Do You Have a Prayer Request or Praise?

"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere" (Ephesians 6:18, NLT).
The staff and elders at FAC would love to pray for you. Send your request or praise to Pastor Scott through the form below.
