Congratulations! What a beautiful moment this is—one filled with gratitude, hope, and deep love. A child dedication is an important step as you publicly celebrate the gift of your child and commit to raising them with faith, intention, and support from your church family.

Child dedication is not baptism. We believe that in order to be baptized, the individual believer should be old enough to understand the significance of baptism and its meaning. Please see the attached pamphlet for more information on baptism, specifically.

We also believe dedicating your child is not a guarantee of their salvation––like baptism is an outward expression of an inward change, child dedication is a symbolic act of committing to raise our child in a Christian home and as an active part within the local church.
