facYOUTH

Thanks for checking out facYOUTH! We are so excited and look forward to getting to know you! Here’s a little bit about who we are:

VISION: facYOUTH is a Christ-centered place for students in grades 6–12, where they know they BELONG and where they can GROW in Christ so they can SHARE the gospel of Jesus to the world.

Core Values

Belong

  • We want our students to know this is the place God has led them to—a place where students know they’re safe, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Grow

  • We want our students to grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus. As they draw near to Jesus, we believe their love for others will grow!

Share

  • We want to see our students become passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus through word and deed.

High School

High school meets every Wednesday, 7–9pm and all students in 9th–12th grade are included.

Middle School

Middle School meets every Thursday, 7–9pm and all students in 6th–8th grade are included.

GET CONNECTED!

Youth Group | Wednesday & Thursday nights, 7–9pm

Mark your calendars for Youth Group, every week on Wednesday and Thursday night!

Wednesday: High school (7–9pm)

Thursday: Middle school (7–9pm)

Please note that middle school youth Group on Thursday evenings will now be (officially!) ending at 9:00pm, instead of 8:30. We have added an additional 30 minutes to our gatherings because we want our middle school students to have a full experience of worship and fellowship on their evenings!

Small Groups

Small Groups are a great opportunity for students to meet together and grow closer to God and each other! Each group is broken down by gender and age, and meets together on Sunday mornings at 9:30am with their respective ages. Each small group is focused on a topic that is sensitive to the season that they are in.

Meet the Youth Pastor and Youth Assistant!

CHENZONG VUE
Youth Pastor

Hey there! I'm Chenzong, but you can call me Chen. I have the absolute joy of serving FAC as the youth pastor! A bit about me: I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, then went to Crown College, where I graduated with a degree in Pastoral Leadership (2014). Before my time at FAC, I served in Detroit, Michigan, for several years until the Lord called my wife and me here.

My wife Ellen and I have been married since 2018, and she's seriously the coolest. She also served here at FAC as the Director of Communications.

I'm always down to try new things, but the ones that have become a hobby are fishing, reading, and sneaker collecting!

My heart for our students is pretty simple: to see them live a life that shows Jesus to the world. It will take time and hard work, but I am blessed to be a part of what Jesus will do in their lives.

You can catch me on Sundays and throughout the week hanging out with our fantastic staff at the office. So come by and say hello!

MARK ANGELOTTI
Youth Ministry Assistant

I'm Mark, a senior at Mercyhurst University studying political science and pre-law while also serving as a Senator in Mercyhurst Student Government. I started attending facYOUTH in seventh grade after being invited by a friend, and I enjoyed the remainder of my middle and high school years as a youth student at FAC.

Three things I love about facYOUTH:

1. The Christian community–I am surrounded by friends who want to help each other grow in their relationships with Jesus, and now I am working to do the same for students in my role as a youth leader.

2. I love observing and guiding students' walks with the Lord.

3. I enjoy the transformational trips we attend as a youth group (including Lead THE Cause and LIFE conference). These trips play a significant factor in my testimony and the testimonies of many of our students.

Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, fishing (despite my apparent ineptitude in these areas!), bike rides, and hiking.
